The sources confirm that President Zelenskyy is Jewish, but none show that Ukraine's government as a whole is Jewish. The available evidence points to a Jewish head of state within a government that is mostly not Jewish (the Prime Minister and most of the cabinet, per a low-credibility Grok post), so the 'Jewish government' framing as written is not supported.

What was said

… Um, he is the hero, and the people who control the colonial administration in Kiev now, of course, don't either don't understand that or don't want to understand that, and it's a Jewish government there anyway. This depopulation agenda is very old, and it was the case, you know, hundreds of years ago, as as it is, as it is right now. …

What we found

Contradicts. A Grok post estimates Jewish representation in top leadership at roughly 1-2%, noting that Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and most of the cabinet are not Jewish. It is a low-credibility source, but it directly addresses the government's composition.[1]

Contradicts. Civica Atlas lists Jewish citizens at about 0.2% of the population and names Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister since July 2025, which is consistent with a government that is not Jewish as a whole.[2]

Supports. Multiple sources state that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is Jewish, so the head of state element of the claim is supported.[3][4]

Supports. A 2019 Wikipedia summary notes that Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal were the two politicians holding the highest state offices with Jewish ancestry at that time, which shows Jewish officeholders at the top but not a Jewish government.[5]

Context. The claim comes from a conspiracy-style monologue. Coverage of the broader 'Nazi government' and antisemitism allegations treats the Jewish-president fact as undercutting claims about the government, and calls the broader allegations false.[3][4]
