Polygraph, where you work.
In your browser, in your AI assistant, or in your own code. One account, one set of credits: reading is free, and only a check spends.

What it does
Shows the check for the page you’re on
If Polygraph has checked the post or page, the panel opens its check: the claims, their verdicts and the sources. Nothing to search for or paste.
Marks the posts in your feed
On X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit and Bluesky, posts Polygraph has already fact-checked carry a small mark beside them: the verdicts at a glance, one click to the fact check. Free, and it works before you connect.
Scans the posts nobody has fact-checked
Connected, it reads the posts in your feed that have no fact check and marks the persuasion techniques they use — a technique, never a verdict. 1 credit per 25 posts it reads for you; a post someone else already had scanned is free. Switch it off in settings, or scan only while the panel is open.
Checks anything that hasn’t been checked
Press Check this page. You see the price in credits and your balance first, and nothing is spent until you confirm. The check fills in as it runs.
Checks the words you pick
Select text with the panel open and it offers to fact-check it. Or right-click a selection on any page and choose Check with Polygraph, or paste text into the panel. Same price first, same check.
Lists the claims already found
Claims Polygraph has already published from the post or page are listed in the panel. Each one opens its own page, with its full history.
Opens the fact-check database
From the panel, the fact-check database is one click away, so you can search what has been checked.
Connects in one click
Click Connect, sign in, approve. No key to copy. Each browser gets its own key, so connecting one never signs another out.
Tells you when something’s wrong
Out of credits, over a key’s monthly cap, too many checks at once, or a link Polygraph can’t read — each gets a plain message and the next step.
What it doesn’t do
- It never reads who wrote a post or anything about their account, and never fact-checks anything until you press Check and confirm the price.
- While the panel is open it sends the address of the tab you are on, to find that page’s fact check.
- Its only scripts run on the seven post sites, where it reads the addresses of the posts in your feed to find their fact checks. The words of posts with no fact check go to Polygraph only when you are connected with scanning on.
- Text you select is noticed only while the panel is open, and only on those sites or a page where you opened the panel from its icon. It goes to Polygraph only when you press Fact-check, choose Check with Polygraph, or paste it.
- Disconnect from the panel, or revoke its key on your keys page, and it stops working at once.
Set it up
- 1Add it to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store when it is listed.
- 2Pin it: click the puzzle piece in Chrome’s toolbar, then the pin next to Polygraph.
- 3Click Connect in the extension, then sign in here and approve. It shows up on your keys page as “Chrome Extension”.
- 4Open any post, article or page and click the Polygraph icon — then select any text you want fact-checked. In your feed on the post sites, the marks appear on their own.
