What we found

Contradicts. Reuters describes the Romanovs as executed by an atheist Bolshevik firing squad in 1918, with no ritual framing of the killing itself.[1]

Contradicts. Mainstream historians reject the ritual-murder claim and associate it with antisemitism, since Yakov Yurovsky, the executioner, was Jewish.[3]

Contradicts. The Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia called the ritual-murder theory unsubstantiated and said such accusations, when examined, have consistently proven false.[4]

Context. The AP report only says the Orthodox church commission was investigating whether the murder was ritual and that the Investigative Committee would probe the theory; it reports an investigation, not a finding.[2]
