Several sources state that Eichmann held the SS rank of Obersturmführer (First Lieutenant) at some point, most directly the IMDb biography, which says he was promoted to it after the 1938 annexation of Austria.

Supports. The IMDb biography states that after the 1938 annexation of Austria, Eichmann's efforts led to his promotion to SS-First Lieutenant (Obersturmführer).[1]
Supports. The Simple Wikipedia rank table lists Untersturmführer/Obersturmführer for 1935–1937, consistent with Eichmann having held the Obersturmführer rank.[2]
Context. Other sources give Eichmann's rank as Untersturmführer in 1937 and later Obersturmbannführer (Lieutenant Colonel) from 1941, so Obersturmführer was an intermediate rank rather than his highest.[3][4][5]
Context. No source states that Eichmann never held the rank of Obersturmführer.
