The sources do not give a 51-seat figure for the right-wing bloc.

A detail. The sources confirm the gist; the verdict faults a detail such as a date, number or wording.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

What was said

… We had Flavio Bolsonaro winning with other candidates supposedly on the right and ending ahead of Lula. That was completely unexpected. Yeah, completely unexpected. We also had, we also had a landslide in the Senate. Brazil has 81 senators, and two thirds of the Senate was being renewed. Ah, and the right now has 51 out of 81 senators. Wow, wow. In Brazil, yes. And Bolsonaro's son, Flavio, is leading for president. Bolsonaro, former wife, ex-wife, no, actual wife, Bolsonaro's wife. …

What we found

Contradicts. Multiple sources put the Liberal Party (PL) alone at 28 of 81 Senate seats for 2027, with the CRS brief listing 29, so the 51 figure cannot be the party's own count.[1][3][4][5][6]

Contradicts. Interaffairs puts the combined right-wing total at 68 of 81 seats, well above 51, while Buenos Aires Herald estimates allied right-wing parties could reach about 37 votes in sessions.[6][7]

Supports. ORF reports that right-wing parties together will hold at least 50 Senate seats, which is consistent with a 51-seat bloc figure.[8]

Context. JPMorgan and Reuters say the right, with allies and the Centrão, commands a working majority, and Reuters projects center-to-right parties at more than 30 Senate seats. These are estimates that do not settle a specific bloc count.[1][10]

Context. The claimant's figure of 51 matches the post's own words, but the passage is not evidence; the sources' figures for the bloc vary by definition and by timing, and the Senate figures reported on 2026-10-05 were preliminary.[2][9]
