… That's, that's in, in Dearborn. Now get me Houston, same weekend, same occasion, in the city of Houston, which again is being conquered. If you're not keep a track there, now, uh, more than 3000 mosques in the United States since 911, just since 911, when Muslim extremists attacked us, killed 3000 Americans in the worst attack on our homeland. We've let in more than 3 million Muslims, legal or illegal, mostly legal, which is scary. This is Houston, marching, similar thing. No American flags, lots of people not speaking English. …

What we found

Context. A September 2026 CIS analysis of Census data reports 3.4 million foreign-born people from predominantly Muslim countries in 2024, up from 1.7 million in 2001. This is a net population stock change, not a count of admissions.[2]

Context. Pew Research (2026) estimates about 5.5 million Muslims of all ages in the U.S. today. This is a total population figure, not admissions.[3]

Context. Muslim-nation legal permanent residency reached about 96,000 in 2005, and Muslim refugee admissions totaled about 310,700 from FY2002 to FY2019. These are partial series and do not give a cumulative admissions total.[4][5]

Context. A 2016 fact-check of Trump's claim of 100,000 Middle Eastern admissions per year treated that figure as a campaign-stated estimate. It is older and about a different claimant and scope.[1]
