The claim that the Biden administration allowed 20 million people to enter the U.S. is contradicted by the sources. Encounter counts (about 8.1 million under Biden) are events rather than people, and about 2.3 million people were released into the U.S., so the record is far below 20 million.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

… in the entire country, in part because we worked so hard to get our allies out of Afghanistan, but it was harder for them to go through the bureaucracy than it often is come across the border. Three, we need a path where this is for everybody who's here." This is 2026, after Biden let in 20 million and, and just, just wreak havoc on this country. He wants to bring and get those numbers up. We need more illegals. Here's what ICE posted. I believe this was yesterday. Uh, i just another day for ICE in Massachusetts, grabbing up foreign criminals. They caught a guy. What we found

Contradicts. PolitiFact reports that immigration officials encountered migrants 8.1 million times under Biden, but that figure counts events, not individuals, and about 2.3 million people were released into the U.S. under Biden's administration per DHS data.[1]

Contradicts. Newsweek's fact check of the 20-million-entries claim says CBP encounters do not represent successful entries, and that the 14 million undocumented population estimated by Pew (2023) is a stock figure, not an entry count.[4]

Contradicts. The White House reports nationwide encounters of roughly 2.7 million per year under Biden, which again measures encounters rather than entries and is well short of 20 million over the term.[3]

Context. The 2.3 million releases and the 356,000 unaccompanied children released are the closest documented entry-type figures, and both are far below 20 million; the cited Newsweek fact check is unrated, so it is weighed less heavily than PolitiFact.[1][4]

Context. Sources do not show a documented 20-million entry figure. Later figures (2026 reports on Trump-era deportations and revocations) do not change the state of affairs as of 2026-08-17.[2][5]
