On 2026-10-28, partial counts showed Likud at about 26 seats (Foreign Policy and Haaretz, with over 90% of votes counted), so the claim held on its date. Later final counts gave Likud 27 seats, which does not make the 10-28 claim false, but the figure has since changed.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

… Okay, Matthew Ferraci, by the way, I'll maybe play that. I just don't have time to play the rest of that clip. Hopefully tomorrow. Matthew Ferraci, you're there in Jerusalem. What's going on? I just want to note that the Likud party, which is kind of the Tory party, or the Conservative Party, the Republican Party of Israel, is at 26 seats, down one. The Arabs are at 18 seats. What we found

Supports. Foreign Policy reported on 2026-10-28, with more than 90% of votes counted, that Likud was on its way to being the largest faction with 26 seats.[1]

Supports. Haaretz's live blog on 2026-10-28 said Likud was the largest party with about 26 Knesset seats.[2]

Supports. Partial official results reported on 2026-10-29 at about 90.2% counted still showed Likud at 26 seats, and The Conversation's 2026-10-29 analysis gave the same figure from the latest counts.[3][4]

Context. Final results certified after the claim date gave Likud 27 seats, with the Central Elections Committee count reported by Globes, Times of Israel and JNS. The claim is judged as of 2026-10-28, so this later change does not contradict it.[5][6][7]

Context. The Konrad-Adenauer assessment cited 25 seats for Likud, an early or inconsistent figure. It does not change the picture of 26 seats as of the claim date.[8]
