The claim that the US is bringing nuclear weapons into Romania and Poland is contradicted by the sources: Crisis Group (Oct 2026) lists the NATO states hosting US nuclear weapons as Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Türkiye and the UK, excluding Romania and Poland, and Poland's deputy defence minister stated on Aug 27, 2026 that Poland does not want nuclear.

What was said

… I think, you know, you can't get RT in Europe now, or including in sympathetic states like like Bulgaria. The U.S is you ever wonder where the anti-war movement went? Remember the anti-Nuke movements in the '80s? Where are they? The U.S. Is now bringing nuclear weapons, and has been, into Romania, another place, Poland, without a peep of protest. But if this happened 45 years ago, you would have had all these leftists blocking traffic, all of this stuff. Has to be explained. …

What we found

Contradicts. Crisis Group (Oct 13, 2026) states the NATO members currently hosting US nuclear weapons are Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Türkiye and the UK, not Romania or Poland.[2]

Contradicts. Polish Deputy Defence Minister Zalewski said on Aug 27, 2026 that Poland does not want nuclear warheads on its territory; Reuters and Aerotime both report this.[1][3]

Supports. Reports in June and October 2026 say the US is discussing expanding nuclear-capable deployments to Poland and the Baltics, but these are unconfirmed talks and do not show weapons already present.[4][5][6]

Context. Aegis Ashore sites at Deveselu (Romania) and Redzikowo (Poland) are missile-defence systems, not nuclear warhead storage, though the Asia Times piece raises a Russian assessment of possible dual-purpose launchers.[7]
