The Pandora Papers did not report that Zelenskyy owns eight mansions. Their reporting covered offshore companies linked to Zelenskyy and his associates and three London properties bought by associates, and fact-checkers including Reuters, Snopes, and USA Today found no evidence of the mansions or similar holdings alleged in the post.

What was said

… Apparently, he was so bad at hiding this money that some idiot uncovered it, and yet, with people like Zelensky, politicians in the U.S., that's exactly what they're doing. They are ridiculously wealthy. Remember, the Pandora Papers had Zelensky having, like, eight mansions around the world. I'm sure Putin has never done poorly, but it's absolutely nothing like that. This came entirely out of whole cloth, and it was a way to deflect attention from precisely that kind of billionaire attitude in the West. I do think it's a form of projection. …

What we found

Contradicts. The OCCRP reporting underlying the Pandora Papers found no direct evidence that Zelensky was involved in high-value real estate deals during his presidency, and did not turn up any billion-dollar fortune.[1]

Contradicts. Reuters found no evidence that Zelenskyy is a billionaire, and Zelenskyy's disclosed assets were modest. The Pandora Papers showed only a transfer of his stake in an offshore company to a friend.[2]

Contradicts. USA Today and Snopes rated claims of multiple homes and assets attributed to Zelenskyy as false, finding no evidence of 15 homes, private planes, or a Florida mansion in his name.[3][5]

Contradicts. A 2023 debunk found that Zelenskyy's declared properties were far fewer and different from the video's list, and that there was no evidence he owns the most expensive properties cited.[6]

Context. The Pandora Papers reported offshore firms tied to Zelenskyy's associates, who bought three prime London properties, and a transferred stake in an offshore company, which is a different claim from owning eight mansions.[4][7]
