Multiple independent sources (Wikipedia, Nakba Memory Museum, Fanack, the Substack piece, the Lehi.org.il page, and reporting on declassified Haganah files) confirm that Lehi, under Avraham Stern, sought an alliance with Nazi Germany in 1940-41 with a proposal for a Jewish state linked to the German Reich.

Supports. Lehi twice attempted to form an alliance with Nazi Germany, proposing a Jewish state 'linked to the German Reich by an alliance' (Wikipedia and Nakba Memory Museum).[1][2]
Supports. Lehi representative Naftali Lubenchik met German official Werner Otto von Hentig in Beirut in late 1940 to propose cooperation, which the Germans rejected (Fanack).[3][4]
Supports. Declassified Haganah and Shin Bet files document Lehi envoys' contacts with German officials and a proposal for 'active partnership' with Germany (israelpalestinenews, slguardian).[5][6]
Context. Sources state the contacts did not succeed and the German side rejected the overture, which does not contradict the claim that Lehi sought an alliance.[3][5]
