Supports. Director Patel's Senate Judiciary testimony (Sept. 15, 2026) says the FBI 'identified and/or located over 11,000 child victims' since January 2025, a 21% increase over the prior 18 months.[1]
Supports. Patel's official X post lists '11,081+ child victims located and identified (up 21%),' matching the claimed figure.[4]
Supports. Hearing transcripts show Patel saying 'We have located, found and identified 11,081 child victims' and confirming that the figure is correct when asked directly.[5][6]
Context. The FBI's Nashville field office and the Operation Not Forgotten results report much smaller, regional child-victim counts, which are different scopes and do not bear on the national figure.[2][3]
