Florida officials' own announcements support the 'over 100' figure, but they describe it as cumulative since the Office of Election Crimes was created in 2022 or since SB 524, not within the last two years.

What was said

… That's right. Yeah, we we want to deter people. Don't cheat. Don't do it. And I think it takes some examples being highlighted to lead to that chilling effect. And so we we've now arrested and are going through the prosecutions for over a hundred people that voted illegally in the last two years here in Florida: people that voted twice, people that voted for dead individuals, people that forged ballot petitions for initiatives. What we found

Contradicts. Florida Today reports the 100-plus arrests came over four years since the office was created in 2022, which contradicts the claim that they occurred in the last two years.[2]

Supports. The Florida Attorney General's September 24, 2026 release says there have been over 100 election fraud-related prosecutions since SB 524 established the Office of Election Crimes.[3]

Supports. Multiple outlets (WGCU, NBC 6, Miami Times) report that the Florida Office of Election Crimes has produced about 100 arrests and prosecutions since it was created, matching the post's figure.[4][5][6]

Context. The AG's release says over 50% of those prosecutions began after Uthmeier took office, so the count is cumulative and the portion within two years is not stated as 100.[3]

Context. Reuters reports federal prosecutors accused at least 147 people of illegal voting since Trump returned to office, a separate federal figure that does not measure Florida.[1]
