The sources support the core claim that about one million private-sector jobs were added during Trump's second term. FactCheck.org reports 1,006,000 private-sector jobs from January 2025 through September 2026, and a DOL statement says the administration has surpassed 1 million new private-sector jobs.

… We have Trump accounts for newborns, the first ever nationwide school choice program. We have the lowest violent crime in 126 years. Biggest decline in prescription drug cost in 60 years. What we found

Supports. FactCheck.org (tier1) reports that 1,006,000 private-sector jobs were added during Trump's term so far, based on BLS data through September 2026.[1]

Supports. The Department of Labor's primary statement from Acting Secretary Sonderling says the administration has surpassed 1 million new private-sector jobs.[3]

Context. The sources measure the gain from January 2025 onward, roughly 20 months through September 2026, rather than exactly the 19 months before October 2026. This is a minor timing difference that no source contradicts.[1][4]

Context. Revisions reduced the estimated pace of private job growth (Reuters, BLS revision), but the revised data still leave the cumulative figure near one million, so the revisions do not contradict the claim.[2]
