Dillingham is supported as Arizona State's head coach as of 2026-09-17, but the 38-year-old age is contradicted: sources give his birth date as April 28, 1990 (36 in September 2026), and an October 2026 preview lists him at 36. The extraction is faithful to the post, which also says 38-year-old.

A detail. The sources confirm the gist; the verdict faults a detail such as a date, number or wording.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

What was said

… That's all about football, and I'm sure KU and the discussions they had were right with K state and said, hey, what do you think? And the Wildcats said, here's how it would go down. So they're taking that same normal approach, that this is a football game. Arizona State, Kenny Dillingham, a 38-year-old coach at Arizona State, he said, hey, the way it's sequenced for us, we're just going to fly early and be in London a lot longer and get our body clocks correct. Now, we made a big deal about this when the Rams played the 49ers, right? …

What we found

Contradicts. A September 2026 age is contradicted by a 2026 preview listing Dillingham at 36, and the birth date of April 28, 1990 from Wikipedia also implies 36 in September 2026.[3][4][5]

Supports. Multiple sources identify Kenny Dillingham as Arizona State's head coach, including the school's staff page and an October 2026 preview.[3][4][5][6]

Context. Older sources give other ages (32 in 2022, 34 in 2024, 35 in December 2025), so the age figure has been inconsistent across coverage, but none supports 38.[1][2][7][8]
