Achilles for Idaho | U.S. Senate 2026@Achilles4IdahoOct 12, 2026Multiple independent sources (CBS News, Vox, Idaho Capital Sun, Ballotpedia-linked coverage, and others) identify Todd Achilles' opponent in the 2026 U.S. Senate race as incumbent Republican Sen. Jim Risch, described as 83 years old, so the claim holds as of 2026-10-12. The claim's wording matches the passage's own statement that the opponent is 83, and no source contradicts the age.
This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.
