The 99% figure for MAGA Republicans' 2024 vote for Trump is reported in the sources, but they attribute it to CNN analyst Harry Enten's analysis, and Jake Tapper says it came from a non-CNN poll discussed on CNN, so the claim that a CNN poll found it is contradicted.

What we found

Contradicts. Jake Tapper's post says the 99% figure came from a 'non-CNN poll, discussed on CNN', which undercuts the claim that a CNN poll found it.[1]

Supports. Mediaite (2026-10-29) and The Independent, quoted there, report that CNN's Harry Enten said Trump received 99 percent of the MAGA Republican vote in the 2024 election.[2][3]

Context. Alternet describes the cited poll as 'non-existent' and notes that the 99% figure refers to 2024 votes among MAGA Republicans, not the GOP base as a whole.[4]

Context. Other polls put Trump's approval among all Republicans lower, at 75 to 83 percent, so the 99% figure covers only the MAGA subgroup.[2][4]
