The claim matches the passage faithfully, but no source gives the baseline, period, or methodology behind a 75% rise in FBI violent-crime arrests in New Jersey. Patel's own X post and a Shore News Network report of the exchange repeat the figure without support, so the sources neither confirm nor refute it as of 2026-09-16.

A played clip makes this claim. Listeners heard it, so it counts against the post.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

… He's that guy is disgusting, and good for Cash Patel for calling him out. Cash also got into a really hilarious exchange with Spartacus yesterday, Corey Booker, trying to go after Cash Patel. Uh Didn't go well for Corey. Watch. By the way, violent crime arrests by the FBI in New Jersey are up 75%, on top of the historic results we've already delivered for the American people. Yeah, thanks to the state police. Irrespective of him, the lies that he continues to tell You said your time's up. Are you done or not? Are you done or not? What we found

Context. The only source for the 75% figure is Kash Patel's own X post, which states New Jersey had '630+ violent crime arrests - up 75%' with no baseline period or methodology, so it is not independent corroboration.[2]

Context. Shore News Network reports that Patel did not provide the underlying period, totals or methodology for the 75% figure, and that an arrest increase is a different measure from the state's overall crime rate.[3]

Context. New Jersey's overall violent crime fell about 11.8% in 2025 (18,508 offenses versus 20,876 in 2024), which does not directly address FBI arrest counts but shows the state-level trend moving the other way.[4][5]

Context. The FBI's Summer Heat 2.0 release reports national arrest figures (8,927 arrests, up 3% from the prior year) and no New Jersey-specific 75% increase.[1]

Context. A single local agency's arrest series (Hamilton Township, Mercer County) is not the FBI's New Jersey arrest total and cannot test the claim.[6]
