The sources support that China acquired some U.S. voter registration data, and the White House says 'as many as' 220 million records were bought, stolen, or hacked.

… 15, almost 16,000 non-citizens in Nevada. 15,000 non-citizens in Pennsylvania. DHS has also found 400,000 deceased registrants and over 28,000 non-citizens across states that share their election files with the Department. This comes in addition to the massive Chinese voter data breach, 220,000,000 U.S. Voters. This was all a plan by the Democrat Party. What we found

Contradicts. CBS reports the fact sheet did not specify which states were affected, and an administration official could not confirm what share of the files was purchased, stolen, or hacked.[6]

Contradicts. FactCheck.org says state voter files are mostly publicly available, so calling the acquisition a 'breach' or 'illicit' heist distorts the facts, and USA Today's review of the documents calls the 220 million claim 'not true'.[1][8]

Contradicts. AP found no confirmation of the claimed revelations in the declassified documents, and the 2021 intelligence community assessment found no indication that any foreign actor altered any technical aspect of the 2020 vote.[2][3][7]

Supports. The White House fact sheet says China and its proxies bought, stole, or hacked 'as many as 220 million' Americans' voter registration data, including some non-publicly available data.[5][6]

Supports. BBC Verify says the released documents support claims that China took steps to acquire voter data, some of which is publicly available or for purchase.[7]

Context. The post's claim matches the figure Trump used in his July 16 address; the post reproduces the claim faithfully and no source contradicts the post's date context.[3][4]
