The CBS News/YouGov poll taken August 12-14, 2026 and reported on August 16-17 found 58% of Democratic respondents viewed socialism positively, matching the claim as of its posting date. Other polls, such as Gallup's 2025 survey showing about 66% of Democrats, use different samples and dates and do not contradict this figure.

… It's working. Everybody knows colleges are not really teaching kids; they're indoctrinating them. And this was a poll over the weekend. It got very little coverage. This is so insane. This is a poll of Democrats, their views of socialism versus capitalism. Do you have a positive view of socialism? Democrats, 58% yes. They view socialism positive.
