A mass crossing into Ceuta of roughly 60,000 people is well supported by AP, BBC, and France 24, and the claim's core event matches the reporting. However, the sources give competing estimates, from 50,000 to 60,000 (LA Times) to more than 70,000 (a Spanish court via Ground News), so the 60,000 figure sits inside a disputed range.

Minor detail. The sources confirm the claim; only a minor detail differs, such as a name's spelling, a title's wording or a rounding.

What was said

… The leader of the country invited a half a million, said they were going to make them citizens. Yeah, because, you know, we're a globalists, we're an open society, and this was the result. You know, a few days later, where 60,000 military age men stormed the border, swam, many of them swam, jumped the fence, came in in trucks, and just took over a Spanish city of eighty thousand, sixty thousand invaders. Here, here's the scene, that scene, that video you're looking at has to be in every Republican ad. Do you want this? It looks just like the southern border of our country for four years under Joe Biden. …

What we found

Contradicts. Competing estimates put the figure at 50,000 to 60,000 (LA Times) and above 70,000 (Audiencia Nacional investigation as reported by Ground News), so 60,000 is one estimate within a disputed range rather than a settled count.[2][3]

Supports. Ceuta's president Juan Jesús Vivas said about 60,000 people crossed from Morocco into Ceuta in roughly 24 hours or a few days, a figure repeated by AP, BBC, and France 24.[4][5][6][7][8]

Supports. The LA Times and AP describe tens of thousands of migrants breaching or storming the frontier, which matches the claim's 'stormed the border' wording.[1][2]

Context. Interior Ministry figures show about 48,000 to 48,300 people returned voluntarily to Morocco by Friday evening, so the net population in Ceuta was smaller than the gross crossing count.[4][9][10]

Context. The CBC article dated 2020 concerns an earlier event and is not relevant to the July 2026 crossing.[10]
