The claimed 27 million early votes as of October 26 is below the counts reported for that date: the University of Florida Election Lab dashboard showed 30,263,458 at 1:45pm ET on October 26, and Fox Baltimore reported more than 30 million.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

What was said

… So we've got 40 states right now reporting early voting data. This includes a number of states with big Senate races. How many people, as of now, have voted early in total nationwide? So, in the latest Target Early data today, 27 million have voted, uh, which is, um, you know, about 4 million more than voted, had voted, at this point four years ago. So turnout is up, it's, and which is a sign of intensity, which is a good sign for us. Okay, so 27 million people have voted early as of right now. We think 53% of the early vote is Democratic? Yeah, and 39% Republican. …

What we found

Contradicts. The University of Florida Election Lab dashboard recorded 30,263,458 total early votes as of October 26, 2026 at 1:45pm ET, and the source notes that news outlets reported 27.7 to 28 million on October 25 to 26.[2]

Contradicts. Fox Baltimore reported that more than 30 million Americans had already cast ballots as of October 26, citing the University of Florida Election Lab.[3]

Contradicts. Baynews9 reported on October 27 that more than 31 million people had already taken part in early voting, based on data from 47 states and D.C.[4]

Context. Tracker totals vary, and the Yahoo report of nearly 24 million as of Saturday October 24 is consistent with a rising count, so the 27 million figure fits an earlier date rather than October 26.[2][5]

Context. The AP figure of more than 43 million covers a later date (five days before Election Day) and does not bear on the October 26 count.[1]
