The claim that Leslie Stahl is 82 is contradicted: she was born 16 December 1941, which makes her 84 on the 2026-09-08 posting date. The extraction faithfully reflects the passage's words, so this is a factual error rather than an addition.
A detail. The sources confirm the gist; the verdict faults a detail such as a date, number or wording.
Our two reads of who says this, and how, disagree, so it counts as the post's own claim.
This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

… What do we, what do we think? I, I, I assume it's a ratings thing. It's, oh, a Fox's ratings driven almost at every, at every point, and I would also say, you know, honestly, um, she's 60 years old now, and what, Leslie Stahl is 82. This is Fox News. Contradicts. A Yahoo article published 2026-10-19 describes Lesley Stahl as 84, which is inconsistent with an age of 82 in September 2026.[2]
Contradicts. A ground.news item published 2026-11-01 describes Stahl as 84 years old, almost 85, so the age was 84 in the autumn of 2026 and was not 82 at the September posting date.[3]
Supports. Birth-date records give 16 December 1941 for Stahl, meaning she turned 84 in December 2025 and was 84 on 2026-09-08, not 82.[4][5]
Context. The IMDb snapshot (2022) lists her age as 83, which is a stale and internally inconsistent figure and does not support 82. The tier1 AP and CBS profile sources do not state an age.[1][5][6]
