What we found

Supports. Reuters reports Melania Trump said she met her husband at a New York City party in 1998, two years before crossing paths with Epstein.[1]

Supports. CBS News and Britannica both state Melania Trump met Donald Trump at a fashion industry party in New York in 1998, with CBS naming the Kit Kat Club.[3][4]

Supports. Snopes reports that Melania Trump has said Donald Trump approached her at a 1998 party and introduced himself, while noting Epstein's unverified claim to have made the introduction.[2]

Context. Snopes rates Epstein's claim to have introduced the Trumps as unproven, but this concerns Epstein's role, not whether the couple met at a 1998 New York party.[2]

Context. Sources differ on details such as who hosted the party and the exact venue, but agree on New York City and 1998.[3][5][6]
