Today, I had the opportunity to speak at the Voter Information Forum hosted by the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce. As the election draws near, it is so important that voters are able to hear from candidates in this kind of setting. It was a pleasure to be on this stage to share my vision for Idaho.

The sources support that a Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce voter information forum took place with Todd Achilles featured, but they place the forum on Monday, October 5, not October 6, 2026. The extracted claim's October 6 date is contradicted, and the claimant's own post cannot corroborate that the speaker appeared.

Minor detail. The sources confirm the claim; only a minor detail differs, such as a name's spelling, a title's wording or a rounding.

What we found

Contradicts. The Chamber's own announcement and a local radio/news item both put the forum on Monday, Oct. 5 at The Romance Theater, not Oct. 6.[2][3]

Contradicts. A BYU-Idaho Radio headlines item dated October 6, 2026 says the Chamber held the forum 'last night,' which is October 5.[4]

Supports. A local news report dated 2026/10/05 says the Chamber-sponsored forum was held and featured leaders from both sides of the debate, including U.S. Senate candidate Todd Achilles.[1][5]

Context. A Threads post advertises a 'Tuesday, October 6' event at South Junior High School Auditorium, which conflicts with the Oct. 5 Romance Theater forum and may describe a different event or be an error.[6]

Context. The phrase 'I had the opportunity to speak' appears only in the claimant's own Facebook and Threads posts, which are not independent evidence that the speaker appeared; the extracted claim's 'October 6' date also departs from the passage, which gives no date.[6][7]
