The sources show Life ran an extensive 1961 photo feature and articles on Eichmann, and Spiegel says Life printed his memoirs, but none states that he appeared on a Life cover. Source [7] names a different cover subject (Dag Hammarskjold), so the cover claim is neither confirmed nor refuted.

… not clemency, because the Berlin crisis meant it, you know, it wasn't feasible to pursue that penal strategy uh against, against the Germans with combat experience, so obviously, we're going to form the core of the, the, the, the Bundeswehr. What we found

Context. Life published an intimate photo study of Eichmann in its April 14, 1961 issue, billed as the first such look at him ahead of his trial.[1][2][3]

Context. Life ran Eichmann's memoirs and related articles in late 1960, and a 1961 issue carried a feature headlined 'Arrogant Eichmann finally gets on the stand.'[4][5][6]

Context. No source states that Eichmann was on the cover of Life; the cover subjects mentioned (Hitler in one issue, Hammarskjold in another) are different people.[6][7]

Context. The claim's cover assertion comes from the post itself, which says Eichmann 'ended up on the cover of Life magazine'; the post's own commentary is not corroboration.
