Contradicts. Other DOJ-attributed totals are higher: 104 people charged since January 2025 (Fox/Latin Times), and 112 aliens charged in the last seven weeks (Newsweek). The NPR host also cites about 113 people charged overall.[3][4][5]
Supports. NPR's transcript states that the speaker reviewed court documents for 64 of the cases the Justice Department has brought so far related to noncitizen voting.[3]
Supports. Fox News reports, per figures provided by DOJ, that 64 foreign nationals were charged across 17 states in roughly the last five weeks.[4][6]
Context. Reuters counted about 32 people charged in the last four weeks, and a Univ. of Washington analysis notes that DOJ press releases often repeat names and cumulative counts, so the figures depend on the measure used.[1][2]
