The claim's $50–80 billion figure is roughly seven to ten times the amount the Pentagon reported as US-provided equipment left in Afghanistan, which was about $7.12 billion according to the DoD report. PolitiFact rated the closely related '$80 billion-plus' claim False, and FactCheck.org called the $83 billion figure a debunked claim.

What was said

… The Taliban was in charge of Afghanistan when we left, and due to the Biden administration's botched withdrawal, now somewhere between fifty and eighty billion dollars in American assets oh well, they'll never be able to figure it out. They don't have the key, and then they had a parade of them. Yeah, we have. And so, we lost treasure of blood and money to those wars, and five years later, we ask ourselves: Would we ever engage in long-term foreign wars with seemingly no ability to get out …

What we found

Contradicts. A Pentagon congressionally mandated report, as reported by CNN, put the US-provided equipment left in Afghanistan at about $7.12 billion, out of $18.6 billion given to Afghan forces from 2005 to 2021.[5][6]

Contradicts. PolitiFact rated False the claim that the Biden administration gifted the Taliban with '$80 billion-plus' in military weapons, noting only a fraction of the $88.6 billion spent on security went to hardware and that an expert put the equipment's value below $10 billion.[1][7]

Contradicts. FactCheck.org described the inflated figure of $83 billion in US military weapons left behind as a debunked claim, and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction cited about $7.2 billion in left-behind equipment.[2][3]

Context. The congressional budget committee's figure of over $7 billion in equipment left with the Taliban is consistent with the Pentagon's $7.12 billion total, so the record does not support any figure near $50–80 billion.[4]
