The claim that Israel intentionally starves children in Gaza is supported by the ICC prosecutor's allegations and arrest-warrant findings, UN bodies, HRW, Amnesty, and a quoted Israeli minister's aid-as-pressure remark, but it is disputed by Netanyahu's denial and a BESA study that rejects deliberate starvation.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

What was said

… Furkan somebody, ah, looks Turkish, maybe Furkan Gozukara, maybe Gozukara. I don't know. Incredible prominent Professor Mohammed Mirani exposes the horrific Gaza genocide. He reminds the world that even Ronald Reagan called the 1982 invasion a holocaust. He confirms the Zionist regime is intentionally starving children and collapsing the entire population. We got a video for that. Despite your propaganda, despite your nonsense, despite the lies that you promote, people are waking up. …

What we found

Contradicts. Netanyahu told Congress the ICC starvation allegation was a complete fabrication and that any hunger was due to Hamas stealing aid, and Israel rejects the genocide and starvation charges.[1][2]

Contradicts. A 2025 BESA study by Israeli researchers found the aid was miscalculated and Israel's motivations misattributed, concluding the failings do not amount to deliberate starvation or genocide.[5]

Supports. The ICC prosecutor's allegations, which a expert panel found reasonable grounds to support, charge Netanyahu and Gallant with the war crime of intentionally using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare.[6]

Supports. A UN Special Committee report says Israeli officials publicly supported policies stripping Palestinians of food, water and fuel, making Israel's intent to instrumentalise aid clear.[7]

Supports. Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International both concluded that Israel deliberately deprives Gaza's population of food, citing official statements and testimonies, including of starving children.[8][9][10]

Supports. The Congressional Record quotes Defense Minister Israel Katz saying blocking aid is one of the main pressure levers, which Senator Sanders presented as evidence of intent to starve.[4]

Context. PolitiFact reported the UN had not declared famine in Gaza and that a July 2024 IPC report said the available evidence did not indicate a famine was currently occurring, though it noted a high risk of famine.[3]

Context. Many sources reflect 2023–2025 coverage, so the state of aid and conditions as of 2026-08-03 is not established by them.[11]
