Context. Snopes (Sept. 16, 2026) finds the 119th Congress has enacted 429 pieces of legislation so far, far below the roughly 800 Johnson cited, but it measures legislation, not executive orders codified.[1]
Context. The News12 interview lists "800 pieces of legislation codifying 125 executive orders" as a Johnson talking point; this repeats the claim rather than independently verifying it.[4]
Context. A 2025 House hearing transcript quotes Johnson saying Trump had issued about 110 executive orders and that Congress was working to codify much of that, which gives no count of codified orders.[2]
Context. The American Presidency Project counts executive orders issued by Trump (Trump-II total of 292), not how many were codified by Congress.[3]
