The claimed national in-person early vote total of 12,276,469 is below every national in-person figure in the sources, which range from about 14.56 million (NewsCubby citing NBC, 11 a.m. ET Monday Oct 26) to 15.82 million (On Point, as of Oct 27).

A detail. The sources confirm the gist; the verdict faults a detail such as a date, number or wording.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

What we found

Contradicts. On Point reports 15,824,777 ballots cast in person nationally as of October 27, 2026 across 46 reporting states, well above the claimed 12,276,469.[1]

Contradicts. NBC News' tracker, as relayed by NewsCubby, showed 14,556,591 in-person ballots nationally as of its 11 a.m. ET update on Monday, October 26, which is also above the claimed figure.[2]

Context. NBC's headline tracker shows 18.1M in-person votes, but that figure covers only Senate battleground states, not the national total, so it does not support the claim.[3]

Context. State-level sources such as FundVoter (Florida, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania) give partial state totals only and do not address the national in-person count.[4]
