Multiple primary and tier1 sources (Phoenix city announcement, Reuters, NIST, TSMC's own pages and filings) confirm TSMC operates a manufacturing facility in Arizona, with its first fab in volume production since late 2024 and a second fab completed.
This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.
What we found
Supports. Reuters (July 2026) reports TSMC's first Arizona fab is operational and achieving yields 'as good as' the Taiwan flagship fab.[1]
Supports. The City of Phoenix announcement states TSMC's first Arizona fab has been in volume production since late 2024 and that TSMC Arizona employs more than 3,500 people in the state.[3]
Supports. An AP report dated 2026-10-15 describes TSMC as having pledged $265 billion of investment in building plants in Arizona, and TSMC's Q3 2026 earnings call says its second Arizona fab construction is complete.[2][4]
Context. The sources also indicate TSMC is exploring further expansion in Texas, which does not bear on whether the Arizona facility exists.[2][5]
