What was said

… Think of it, no tax on Social Security, and the Democrats want to terminate that. Who the hell can vote for these people? But they voted against voter identification, commonly known as voter ID, and they voted against proof of citizenship. They voted against securing your border. What we found

Contradicts. CNN reports several Democrats in tight races voted for a 2024 bipartisan border bill that included border wall funding, and FactCheck.org notes Peltola later joined Republicans on a nearly identical bill.[1][6]

Contradicts. PolitiFact reports just over half of Democratic senators, including Obama, Schumer and Clinton, voted for the 2006 Secure Fence Act, showing Democratic votes for border measures historically.[2]

Supports. AP reports the House passed a nearly $70 billion bill funding ICE and Border Patrol for three years by 214-212 over the objections of Democrats, sending it to Trump.[3]

Supports. FactCheck.org confirms Rep. Peltola voted against the 2023 Republican Secure the Border Act, and a Senate Republican floor statement says Democrats opposed funding these agencies.[1][4]

Context. Roll Call data from 2002 shows a party split on the Customs Border Security Act, with Democrats voting 97 to 110 on passage, so the party's record varies by measure and era.[5]
