The only sources addressing the claim are Patrick Byrne's own transcript and post, which cannot corroborate it. No independent source confirms the 2006 lunch, that Byrne took orders from anyone, or that the woman later became John Brennan's number two, and the extraction faithfully matches the passage.

What we found

Context. Source 3 is a transcript of Byrne's own interview repeating the 2006 lunch story and the claim that the woman later became Brennan's protege and number two. It is the claimant's own account and cannot corroborate the claim.[3]

Context. Source 6 (Scribd) refers to a John Brennan 'FBI go-between' in a separate account but does not mention 2006, a lunch, or any orders taken by Byrne, so it does not address the claim's central assertion.[4]

Context. The remaining sources (a PolitiFact search page with no results, a FactCheck.org process page, a PolitiFact checklist, and unrelated sports and Irish football rosters) do not address the claim, and no fact-checker has examined it.[1][2][5][6][7]
