Supports. The Fox News poll found 71% of voters think the Trump administration lacks a clear strategy for ending the conflict with Iran, including 95% of Democrats, 83% of independents and 43% of Republicans.[2][4]
Supports. Multiple outlets reporting on the Fox News poll, including Al Jazeera and PolitiFact, cite the same 71% figure, and PolitiFact lists the Fox News poll of September 17, 2026 as its source.[1][3]
Context. One Fox News headline and body text in a category page cites 70% rather than 71%, a rounding-level difference that does not contradict the claim.[5]
Context. The poll sampled registered voters rather than all Americans, and asked about the 'Trump administration' rather than Trump personally; the claim's wording departs from the passage only in these minor ways, and the substance is unchanged.[3][4]
