A Haitian gang member who famously vowed he would never return to Haiti has now been deported; federal prosecutors charge seven noncitizens in a North Texas election-integrity investigation; FBI Director Kash Patel clashes with Senate Dems in fiery hearing; Thomas Massie files articles of impeachment against Secretary Pete Hegseth; Ed Martin joins …
Multiple sources report that Wisteguens Jean Quely Charles, a Haitian gang member identified by DHS as a Back Block Money Gang member, was deported to Haiti after he told Fox News cameras during his January 2025 ICE arrest, "I'm not going back to Haiti."
This claim is in the show notes, the publisher's own words. It counts against the post, once.
What we found
Supports. Yahoo's syndicated Fox News exclusive reports that Charles, who said "I'm not going back to Haiti" during his viral ICE arrest, was deported to Haiti on an ICE flight from Louisiana, with DHS confirming the deportation to Fox News.[3]
Supports. Fox News Politics' post states Charles was removed to Haiti after 19 months, after he had told Fox cameras "I'm not going back to Haiti," and identifies him as a Back Block Money Gang member with 17 convictions.[4]
Supports. Knewz reports that DHS announced it secured a removal order for Charles and flew him back to Haiti, citing the same gang affiliation and his prior statement that he would not return.[5]
Context. The Fox-origin post republished on a blog (acecomments) repeats the same account, so it adds no independent corroboration; the sources also disagree on the flight date (September 10 versus "last week" relative to September 16).[4][5][7]
Context. The AP, DHS, PBS and Reuters pieces describe other deportees on the August 2026 Haiti flights and do not address Charles's deportation directly.[1][2][6][8]
