There is no reason for a working mom in Blackfoot to be paying more federal income tax than a multi-billion dollar company. When I get to Washington, I am committed to ending corporate socialism and fixing our broken tax code so that Idaho families will no longer pay more than their fair share.
The sources do not contain the evidence needed to test whether working mothers in Blackfoot, Idaho pay more federal income tax than multi-billion dollar companies.
This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.
What we found
Context. The only sources that mention the claim's exact wording are the claimant's own social media posts (Facebook and Instagram from Achilles for Idaho), which are circular and cannot corroborate it.[5][6]
Context. The Instagram post says "ALL currently pay the same 4.4%", which appears to refer to Idaho state income tax rather than federal tax, so it does not address the federal comparison in the claim.[6]
Context. The IRS source provides general federal individual tax brackets and rates, and the Idaho State Tax Commission source covers filing requirements. Neither compares individual federal tax burdens with corporate federal tax burdens, nor addresses Blackfoot residents specifically.[1][2]
Context. The Ways and Means and Treasury sources discuss the distribution of federal taxes across income groups and the Working Families Tax Cuts, not the federal income tax paid by working mothers in Blackfoot relative to multi-billion dollar companies.[3][4]
