What we found

Supports. Yad Vashem's exhibition page states the first session of the District Court on criminal case 40/61 was held on April 11, 1961, in Jerusalem.[1]

Supports. Wikipedia and the Encyclopedia.com entry both state the Eichmann trial in the Jerusalem District Court began on April 11, 1961.[2][3]

Supports. Remember.org describes the day of the trial as Monday, April 11, 1961, and the USHMM encyclopedia also gives April 11, 1961 as the start date.[4][5]

Contradicts. An older Yad Vashem page says the trial began on April 10, 1961, and The New Yorker gives April 1, 1961 for the court date, conflicting with the April 11 date.[6][7]

Context. The sources cover the trial's start, but none explicitly uses the word 'arraigned' for April 11; the first session is the functional equivalent of the arraignment.[1]
