Multiple sources confirm Election Day 2026 was Tuesday, November 3, which was exactly 35 days (five weeks) after the September 29 posting date, so the claim was accurate when made. The check date of November 2 is a later point and does not make the claim false.

This claim is in the show notes, the publisher's own words. It counts against the post, once.

What we found

Supports. The AP 2026 election calendar and Reuters (published November 2, 2026) identify the general election as November 3, 2026, and Reuters describes voting taking place on Tuesday.[1][2]

Supports. USAGov and the European Parliament research service both state that the 2026 midterm general election falls on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.[3][4]

Supports. Counting from the September 29 posting date to November 3 gives 35 days, exactly five weeks, so the claim is accurate as of when it was posted.[1]

Context. A CFR piece published October 13 said Election Day was three weeks away, which is consistent with the November 3 date and shows the countdown decreasing as expected.[5]
