Multiple tier1 sources confirm that Apple and Google removed the Parler app from their app stores in January 2021, and that Amazon removed Parler from its web-hosting service, which took the platform offline.

A played clip makes this claim. Listeners heard it, so it counts against the post.

What we found

Supports. AP reports that Google and Apple removed Parler's app from their online stores, following Amazon's decision to remove Parler from its web-hosting service.[1]

Supports. Reuters/BBC report that Apple suspended Parler from its App Store and Google removed the app from its Play Store, with Amazon removing Parler from its web-hosting service in January 2021.[2][4]

Supports. CNN reports that Amazon, Apple and Google 'have all booted it from their platforms' within about 24 hours, with Amazon's action shutting down Parler's website and app until a new host was found.[5]

Supports. PolitiFact and NPR confirm the Apple and Google app-store removals and Amazon's cutoff of cloud services to Parler.[3][6]

Context. Amazon's action was a removal from web hosting, not from an app store, so 'removed from their platforms' is a fair description of its effect but not literally the same act as Apple's and Google's removals. Parler returned to Apple's App Store in May 2021.[2][5]
