Talarico did say in a 2021 Texas House hearing that there are "many more than two biological sexes" and "six" of them, and he later said "there are not six sexes, there are two."
The host relays this claim without endorsing it. It counts as passed on, not against the post.
What was said
… It's not altered. It's not taken out of context. I'm a Christian who hates Christian. I've often said, I'm a Christian who hates Christianity. Wow. God is non binary. There are not two genders. There are six. We're going to dismantle capitalism. Oil and gas is an outdated business. It's like cassette tapes. Our campaign has gone meatless. We are vegan. No meat around here. …

Contradicts. FactCheck.org reports the AI-generated ad's "let there be six genders" line and related phrasing were not part of Talarico's actual statements, so the exact quoted wording is not his.[1]
Contradicts. Talarico's 2021 remark concerned six biological sexes, not genders, and in a September 2026 Fox News interview he said "There are not six sexes, there are two" and that he "missed the mark."[2][4][5]
Supports. In a 2021 Texas House hearing on HB 4042, Talarico said modern science recognizes "many more than two biological sexes. In fact, there are six."[1][6][7]
Context. Talarico's own 2021 comments included "God is nonbinary," and the ad splices his remarks with wording he did not use, which fact-checkers describe as leaving out context.[1][3]
