The sources do not establish how many accounts Dan Bongino has blocked on X. The Newsweek piece describes him as having blocked "several others in the past," and the Upside Down World comment is an unsourced jab from a user, so neither substantiates or disputes a "large number."

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

What was said

… The algorithm, actually, that's what's going wrong with X: Bongino's blocked so many people, the algorithm can't figure out what's going on. But what but this became a very popular idea, and you're actually gonna do it, right? I feel I have to do it now. I mean, you know how the internet works. It was almost it was almost it wasn't Hairpocalypse level. …

What we found

Context. A Newsweek article from January 2026 says that Bongino "had blocked several others in the past," which describes a few blocks rather than a large number.[4]

Context. A user on Upside Down World (October 2026) remarks that Bongino "probably have blocked more X accounts than your viewing figures," an unsourced rhetorical jab that is not a verifiable count.[5]

Context. None of the sources report a count of accounts Bongino has blocked on X, so the central assertion of a large number is not addressed by any record.[1][2][3][4][5]
