Recent vote-share estimates support a figure around two-thirds to 70% of Jewish voters backing Democrats (AP cites about two-thirds for Harris in 2024 and 7 in 10 for Biden in 2020; Reuters and Ruderman cite about 70%).

Is that right? Yes, I mean, if you talk to folks who do surveys on Jewish voters, historically, somewhere between, like, two-thirds and 70% of Jewish voters tend to align with the Democratic Party, and that's been the case for decades. What we found

Contradicts. Kenneth Wald, cited by JTA in 2026, puts Jewish Democratic voting at between three-fifths and two-thirds, below the claimed range.[3]

Supports. AP reports a Pew poll found about two-thirds of Jewish voters backed Harris in 2024, and about 7 in 10 supported Biden in 2020 per AP VoteCast.[1]

Supports. Reuters, citing Pew, says about seven in 10 U.S. Jewish voters support Democrats, and Ruderman describes majority Democratic voting 'usually in the 70% range' since 1928.[2][4]

Context. The Solomon Project reports Democratic party identification of 54-64% among Jews since 1976, and presidential support for Democrats of 44-68% in 1972-1988, both lower than the claimed 2/3-70% figure.[6]

Context. Vox reports that since 2008 between 60 and 80 percent of Jewish voters picked the Democratic candidate, a range that contains the claimed figure but is wider than it.[5]
