The Daily Show: Ears EditionAug 28, 2026
Episode-guide data lists Frank Rich's last Daily Show appearance as October 17, 2006, and no later appearance appears in the sources, so the claim that he has not appeared since 2006 is supported. The claim faithfully matches the passage, which is Jon Stewart's on-air bit, and the guides are non-primary, unrated sources, which caps confidence.

Supports. Episode Data's season listing places Frank Rich's appearances on September 25, 2001 and October 17, 2006, with no later appearance shown.[1]
Supports. The epguides Daily Show guide lists Frank Rich's 2001 appearance and shows no later Frank Rich entry in the excerpt, consistent with no appearance after 2006.[2]
Context. The claim's wording appears in Jon Stewart's comedic segment, which is the claimant's own words and cannot itself corroborate the claim; the guide sources are unrated and only partially visible, so confidence is limited.[3][4]
