The sources put the number of states with voter ID requirements at 32 to 36, not 15, so the central figure is contradicted by primary and NCSL data. The sources do support the second half of the claim, that there is little meaningful evidence of voter fraud.

… for ideological purity that those institutions they complain about continue to cave for the same reason, I guess, that you always seem to end up going to the restaurant the 4-year-old wants to go to. Fine, we're gonna get Frivols again. Just stop crying. 15 states have approved voter ID laws in the absence of any meaningful evidence of voter fraud. An Oklahoma state house committee voted to ban A p history for not sugarcoating slavery enough. Abstinence is approved, sex education and scientific fact isn't reported, now it's debated. What we found

Contradicts. The Congressional Research Service (2025) reports that 32 states require voters to show an ID at the polling place, which is roughly double the claimed 15.[1]

Contradicts. NCSL reports that 36 states have laws requesting or requiring voters to show some form of identification at the polls, and MinnPost (2026) repeats the figure of 36 states with voter ID laws.[2][3]

Contradicts. Strict photo-ID counts in other sources (9 per SPUR, 14 per MinnPost) also do not match 15, so no standard measure in the sources yields the claimed figure.[3][4]

Supports. Multiple sources state there is little or no evidence of meaningful voter fraud, including the Brookings/BBC analysis of postal voting and the Brennan Center and Public Integrity reviews, so the second half of the claim is supported.[5][6][7]

Context. The claim matches the passage's wording exactly, so extraction is faithful. The sources also note that some voter ID laws have been struck down or are not yet in effect, which the claim does not address.[1]
