Concert listings published on or before the 2026-09-29 posting date show Weezer scheduled at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC on Friday, October 2, 2026, and a Parklife DC live review confirms the show took place there. The post's 'Capitol One Center' is a misnaming of the same DC venue, so the claim matches the passage.

A guest makes this claim. Listeners heard it, so it counts against the post, and on the guest's own record.

This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.

What we found

Supports. A 98 Rock Online event listing published 2026-09-29, the posting date, lists WEEZER: The Gathering at Capital One Arena on October 2 at 7:00 pm.[1]

Supports. A Parklife DC live review dated October 5, 2026 reports that Weezer brought The Gathering Tour to Capital One Arena on Oct. 2, 2026.[2]

Supports. The Capital One Arena's own event page and ticketing listings (SeatGeek, Live Nation, Discotech) show a Weezer show at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC on Friday, October 2, 2026.[3][4][5][6]

Context. The passage calls the venue 'Capitol One Center', which is a misnaming of Capital One Arena in DC; resolving it to Capital One Arena is a referent resolution, not an extraction addition. The event had been scheduled since before the post and was later held, so the claim holds as of 2026-09-29.[1][2]
