What we found

Context. The Sherafy analysis states that the public cannot reliably calculate the total cost of the judges' Israel programs and that financial disclosures generally do not require the dollar amount of reimbursed trips.[4]

Context. A 2013 Reuters report, based on LegiStorm data, estimated that Israel trips for congressional members cost about $10,000 per member. This concerns Congress, not federal judges.[1]

Context. A House ethics public disclosure for an Israel trip lists hotel rates and expenses totaling roughly $12,000 for one traveler, but the source does not identify the traveler as a federal judge and does not give a per-trip cost for judges.[2]

Context. The April 2026 law school article confirms a 14-judge federal judicial delegation visited Israel in March 2024, but gives no costs.[3]
