The Oct. 12, 2026 date is well supported, and two secondary sources list 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the U.S. Senate debate on Arkansas TV. However, ArkansasTV's own primary announcement gives 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the Oct. 12 debate, so the times conflict across sources.
A detail. The sources confirm the gist; the verdict faults a detail such as a date, number or wording.
This claim is about the present, so it is judged as of the day it was checked.
What we found
Contradicts. The ArkansasTV primary announcement lists the Oct. 12 debate featuring the U.S. Senate candidates at 10 a.m., repeating at 6 p.m., which conflicts with the claimed 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. times.[1]
Contradicts. The Arkansas Advocate lists the Westerman–Russell debate at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 12, and an Arkansas Online listing shows a Senate debate on Oct. 18, which creates further schedule conflicts.[2][3]
Supports. The ArkansasTV blog and other sources state that the Arkansas TV debates begin Monday, Oct. 12, 2026.[1][4][5]
Supports. THV11 reports the Oct. 12 schedule has Democrat Hallie Shoffner and Libertarian Jeff Wadlin meeting at 1:30 p.m., with a rebroadcast later in the day.[4][6]
Supports. An Instagram schedule lists the U.S. Senate debate at 1:30 p.m. with a re-air at 7 p.m., matching the claimed times.[7]
Context. The claim does not identify which debate it refers to. Read as the Senate debate, the claimed times match the secondary schedules but not the primary ArkansasTV listing.[1][4][7]
