Dan Sullivan on the $2.6 billion in funding for Alaska's military bases

What it claims

Claims

1. 1TrueSenator Dan Sullivan secured $2.6 billion for Alaska's military in the 2026 defense bill. The sources support the core claim: Sullivan's office says the FY2027 defense authorization (the 2026 NDAA cycle) authorizes a historic $2.6 billion in military construction and projects for Alaska, and an unrated source reports the Senate Armed Services version carries about $2.6 billion. Two caveats: the sources describe an authorization rather than money actually appropriated or secured, and the bill is labeled FY2027 rather than '2026', though it is called 'this year's' bill. Most sources trace back to Sullivan's own office, which caps confidence.6 sources →
