Wyoming Republican Gov. Mark Gordon did publicly criticize DOJ election monitors as 'aggressive' and 'irregular' and said he didn't like the federal government 'taking our votes,' so the general complaint of meddling is supported.

Our two reads of who says this, and how, disagree, so it counts as the post's own claim.

What was said

… So, just to, to expand on that, so he will try to still monkey with the stuff. I mean, even before this ruling came out, I think it was not Wyoming, might have been Montana. I think it was Wyoming. What we found

Contradicts. Sources describe the governor's objections as concerning monitors at a Cheyenne polling place who tried to interview voters and access voting machines, with no source saying Gordon complained about DOJ seeking access to voting rolls.[1][2][4][5]

Supports. AP reports Gov. Mark Gordon called DOJ monitors' behavior 'a bit aggressive' and 'irregular' during the August 18 primary, and Mother Jones and Yahoo quote him saying the federal government is coming in 'taking our votes.'[1][4][6]

Context. DOJ's voter-roll demands are a separate matter: Wyoming's records were requested and the state cooperated, and the Secretary of State's handling of the data drew a misconduct complaint from a private citizen rather than a governor's complaint.[3][7]
